Leadership development is not mandatory at the system level, but it is strongly
encouraged, and completion rates are monitored and reported to regional HR leaders. Individual affiliates and ministries may choose to require participation in these programs.
How can one gain access to leadership development programs?
The Providence Leadership Academy serves as the central hub for all leadership
development programs, courses, and resources. Providence caregivers who do not have access to the Degreed platform should submit an access request using the provided link.
Are leadership development materials accessible to non-leaders?
Yes, non-leaders can access leadership development materials, except for specific content designated as "Core Leader-Only" on HealthStream.
Enrollment
How is the enrollment process for leadership programming structured for new leaders?
New leaders are introduced to leadership development programming through an onboarding email. Their immediate supervisors, referred to as "one-ups", also receive a notification email.
How often are onboarding emails sent to new leaders?
Onboarding emails are sent within 30 days of the leader's effective start date in their current role. Subsequent emails are sent every 30 days for a total of 9 months.
Are leadership development courses assigned through the Degreed platform?
No, leadership development courses are not assigned through Degreed. Compulsory learning modules, such as safety and legal training, are assigned through HealthStream or QStream.
How can I access copies of the communications sent to leaders and their one-ups?
You can request copies of these communications by emailing our inbox.
Reporting
How can I access enrollment data for leadership development programs?
Program invitations, completions, and outcomes are tracked by the Leadership Academy. To obtain this information, please email our inbox. For activity related to HealthStream courses and Degreed plans, requests should be directed to Learning Administration.
How is completion credit awarded for leadership development programs?
Completion credits are handled in the following ways:
- i. Instructor-led training credits are marked by facilitators.
- ii. Cohort program credits are marked by program managers.
- iii. For online courses in HealthStream and Degreed, credits are automatically
marked upon learner's course completion.
How can I earn Continuing Medical Education (CME) credits?
CME credits are awarded upon successful completion of a CME-accredited program.
Where can I request completion reports for leadership development programs?
Completion reports can be requested from Learning Administration by submitting a ticket through Zendesk.
How can I find details about specific programs, such as course objectives and communication templates?
Program details are available on the Academy's website. You will find either direct access to the program details or a link to Degreed if applicable.
